Nice crowd and music at today’s @lincolnscottage Bourbon & Bluegrass Festival!

Love this! @cinderbbqdc and @timberpizzaco are collaborating on a special bottle of @stellumspirits bourbon with a unique Upshur Street label and flavor! Only 75 bottles are available at each restaurant (and comes with Timber's famous biscuits and Cinder's Brisket gravy). It's great when local businesses work together!

The Home Rule Music Festival returns to @theparksdc in June for 3 days of great music, vinyl, food and free outdoor fun. It was a great show last year, and now, it's going to be three times greater! The largest main show, like last year, is free to attend. Link with full article in bio!

Update: Dog was seen walking around just before 5pm, and posted to local parents email listserv. Trying to connect them. A dog was allegedly stolen on 9th & Allison tonight around 5:30/6p. 12 y/o Shih-Tzu named Jade. Owner said she called MPD but they wouldn’t take a report? Odd. If you live nearby & have camera footage of someone walking w/ brown & white Shih-Tzu, contact @HumaneRescue.

This sounds like a great local event! Got an email that neighbors on Illinois Ave are hosing an Arts & Crafts event on Sunday, May 7th. They'll showcasing their art and selling products on the 4400 Block of Illinois Ave by St. Gabriel's Church from 10-2pm. They're also giving away free art supplies to get you started on any craft projects.

A playground removed and a neighborhood looking for a place to bring young children face off against budget constraints and Federal and DC government bureaucracy. On the topic of dog poop signs… this one I found in Belgrade says “Be responsible or teach your dog to pick up.” See, that’s a nicer way of asking people to clean up after their dog! 🐶💩
